Recitals
FLMF recitals provide students an opportunity to perform in public in a setting that may be more formal than that of a teacher’s studio.  Performances are noncompetitive and are for students at all levels. Our recitals are recorded and open to the public. Well prepared and well-behaved students are welcome to participate.

Holiday Concert at Dulles Town Center Mall

December 5 & 6 from 3:00 - 9:00 on the lower level by Sears.  Postmark deadline is Nov. 1.  Teachers will be assigned a block of time dependent on the number of students enrolled, and will be responsible for preparing their own recital program.  For more information and to enroll students, go to the application, or contact Amy Work.  Applications should be sent to Amy at 43531 Camden Lane, South Riding, VA  20152.

Reston Community Center

During the 2011-2012 season, two recitals will be held at the Reston Community Center-Hunters Woods, one on October 16, 2011 and the other on May 20, 2012  at 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM.  Each teacher may provide up to fifteen minutes of playing time per recital date. Teachers may designate additional performers or extra pieces beyond the fifteen minute allotment as “stand-bys” in the event a recital is insufficiently enrolled.

Please register students for the Reston Community Center recitals using the online application by the deadlines indicated.  Students whose payments are not postmarked by the deadline will not have their names printed in the recital program.  Then send the recital fee of $12 per student by mail to the recital chair, Gretel Von Pischke, 2529 Trophy Lane, Reston, VA  20191.
