Piano Ensemble Festival
The Piano Ensemble Festival is an annual concert sponsored by FLMF during the winter season. It provides pianists the opportunity to play in an ensemble setting – something pianists rarely get to experience based on logistics. We provide six baby grand pianos on a stage with two or three performers at each piano (12-18 performers in each group), under the direction of a professional conductor. It is a “symphony” of pianos. Each group performs one long piece or two short pieces together. The concert consists of approximately 14-16 different groups of all ages and levels of difficulty.
**Due to Covid 19, the 2022 Festival will reduce the number of pianos used in the festival to four. FLMF will work with LCPS and follow CDC guidelines which are current at the time of the festival to create a safe environment for performers and audience members. FLMF wants to make this fun concert happen for our students so we are moving forward with preparations for the concert despite some unknowns that we do not have control over. FLMF will update participating teachers of any new or changing guidelines as necessary.**
